Overtaking over a full, even double, line and in corners – this was done by an unknown driver between the Pardubice and Olomouc regions. His gambling was captured on video by another driver, who caught him in several sections for violating the regulations. In one case, there was little missing from the car accident.
Every year, many accidents happen in the Czech Republic, which are proof that haste does not pay off on the roads. Nevertheless, many drivers still risk their lives and strangers to save a few seconds. This is also the case of the rap driver, which was filmed last week by the TN.cz reader on the road between Moravská Třebová and Mohelnice.
He caught him overtaking several times. In one case he drove into the overtaking lane in the opposite direction, in another he was not deterred from rushing by a double solid line. He started overtaking even before a sharp turn and lacked little to collide with the car in the opposite direction.
According to traffic expert Roman Budský, this situation, which is captured in the video as the second of three forbidden overtaking, was the most dangerous. “There was a solid line and a left-handed, confusing turn in which a car surfaced. It was a potential car accident. If the driver was a second faster, less attentive, or a similar gambler in the opposite direction, they wouldn’t have a chance to miss it. It was just a coincidence that it turned out the way it did, “Budský described the offense.
According to him, even the first situation on the video was dangerous. “A row of trucks, a right-hand turn, a solid line. It’s definitely not visible in that turn, the driver was not allowed to overtake. It was a game of chance. If someone emerged there, I can’t imagine what they would do with it. So it was definitely a dangerous act and a gross violation of road regulations, “said Budský.
According to him, the third situation was relatively least dangerous. “According to the video, no one bothered him, he didn’t limit anyone, he probably had a great view and started to overtake 200 meters earlier than he should. But even in this case you can’t close your eyes. “false confidence and one day the morning will come and they may be dead there. It needs to be punished anyway,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, illegal overtaking is generally punished severely. Seven points are deducted for the pieces that the driver of the rapids transferred, for which there is a fine of five to ten thousand and there is a risk of revoking the driver’s license for six to twelve months.
