However, the match between Viktor Axelsen and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting was quite close, even though it looked superior on the scoreboard.
The showdown wavered in periods back and forth. For example, Ginting won the first two balls of the match, after which Axelsen nipped the next eight, but that did not knock Ginting out mentally.
Because after that he fought back to eat into the Dane’s lead.
Despite Ginting’s heroic fight, Viktor Axelsen still had the upper hand through both sets. The match ended after 48 minutes.
In the second semifinal of the Indonesia Masters, Tien Chen Chou of Taiwan defeated over his opponent of Indonesia, Kean Yew Loh.
Thus, the Danish badminton star will meet Tien Chen Chou, who is number four in the world, in the final of the Indonesia Masters.
The final will be played on Sunday 12 June.
If Viktor Axelsen wins the final, it will be the Dane’s third title in 2022. The badminton player won the two prestigious tournaments All England and the European Championships earlier this year.
