Xumetra stays in Olot to “continue to contribute goals and experience” to Segona RFEF

Jordi Xumetra he has rope for a while. And in Olot they will take advantage of it. The Garrotxa club announced today that the 36-year-old Estartit striker will fulfill the year of his contract and will therefore continue next season. “I want to continue to provide experience, speed and a lot of goals,” said Xumetra after the news was made public. In this way, the Empordà player will play his sixth season in Olot, after arriving at the winter market in 2018 and having had a brief stint on the Costa Brava.

“I am happy to continue here and to share the values ​​of Olot. I want to take the name of the club beyond Catalonia and I want to play a good role “, he explained. Xumetra signed for Olot in the 2017-18 season when the Garrotxa players played in Second B and stayed there for four consecutive seasons until last year, following the relegation to the Third RFEF, he decided to become the cornerstone of the new Costa Brava project in Primera RFEF. With Barça, however, he only stayed there for five months and last December he decided to go back to return to La Garrotxa and help Olot reach the goal. The Empordà player immediately took on a leading role, first with Albert Carbó and then with Manix Mandiola, and it would be decisive to end up achieving thepromotion to Second RFEF with 5 goals.
