David Gautier has been appointed as the new women’s ASVEL coach for the next two seasons.
David Gautier, 42, arrives at ASVEL. He knew at INSEP the president of ASVEL, Tony Parker, and the president of ASVEL women, Marie-Sophie Obama.
He is currently also assistant coach of the French women’s team and of the new coach, Jean-Aimé Toupane. Gautier is an assistant coach alongside Cathy Melain and Grégory Halin.
“He is a very promising coach, he will bring a lot of freshness and enthusiasm to our experienced squad. We can’t wait to start this new adventure with him. And we wish him in the meantime a victorious summer with the France team. and our Lionesses who will be by his side at the World Cup“, rejoices TP.
The 2022 Women’s Basketball World Cup will be held from September 22 to October 01 in Sydney, Australia.
