During this weekend, the athlete from Neuquén, Ruth Vicente participated in the second date of the National Para Badminton Championship which was played at the La Patriada de Florencio Varela Sports Center.
With very good results, Vicente became champion in Singles Ladies Wh 1 and also in Mixed Doubles together with Diego Moliner, player from the city of Cañuelas.
One of the surprises of the event was the Paralympic athlete, Lucas Diaz Aspiroz, who found this new sport, after announcing his departure from para-canoeing, and quickly obtained very good results. Like Neuquén, the athlete from Olavarri se was crowned champion in Singles Wh1 and Doubles Wh2 together with Diego Moliner.
In addition to the titles obtained, Díaz Aspiroz was summoned to be part of the national team in the South American Championship in Peru and in the Pan American Championship in Colombia in November, which will grant places for the games in Santiago 2023.
