A three-person basketball 3X3 exchange tournament operated by the women’s basketball team “Aranmare Akita” was held in Akita City on the 30th.

This tournament was held for the first time to deepen exchanges between Aranmare Akita, who are active in the W League, the highest level of women’s basketball in Japan, and local people.

On the 30th, 8 teams of 40 people over junior high school students participated.

The players ran around the court and enjoyed the speedy match unique to 3X3. Players of Aranmare sent cheers to the participants while serving as timekeepers and referees.

Hikaru Sato, vice-captain, said, “We are in a position to give energy, and I think that exchanges like this will invigorate us. I hope many local people will come to the venue and show us their energetic play.”

This season, the home opening game will be held on October 22 at Omonogawa Gymnasium in Yokote City.
