COLOMBIA. The mixed team bronze medalist at Tokyo 2020, Alejandra Valencia, was the best Mexican in the recurve qualification round of the Medellin Archery World Cup by finishing in seventh position.
The other tricolors in competition were out of the top ten, with Ana Vázquez in 11th place; Aída Román, at 16, and Valentina Vázquez at 37.
In the men’s branch, Matías Grande stood out by placing in the 13th box. Ángel Alvarado finished in 31st and the Olympic bronze along with Valencia, Luis Álvarez, in 40th, while Emilio Treviño finished 45th.
By teams, the female was placed in second place and the male in sixth, while the mixed team ranked fifth.
This Thursday the direct elimination by teams takes place, while on Friday the one corresponding to the individual test.
The Medellin Cup is the fourth and last before the Final of the series that will take place in Tlaxcala on October 15 and 16.
