Cahors. 24 hours of basketball today place Bessières

Created in 1984 on an idea of ​​the late Christian Miron, then player coach of Cahors Basket, the 24 hours of basketball, a real institution of Cahors basketball, are intended as a very convivial event at the end of the season. It lasted until the early 2000s, when the two Lot clubs merged to give birth to CahorSauzet Basket.

For a few seasons, the president of the CSB Eric Brehier wanted to relaunch the event and bring together all the supporters of the “yellow and blue” club at the end of each season.

With CSB educators, volunteers and club executives, the last two months have been used to prepare for this event. Appointment is therefore given on the Bessières square, for 24 hours of sport this Saturday.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the U12 to U15 youth tournament (youngest/minimes), with a 3-point contest and “skills challenge” until 3 p.m. Then continue with a virtual tournament (NBA2K22), at the Grand Palais cinema, with a 3×3 format (32 players) and the final broadcast on a giant screen, from 4:45 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The festivities will continue with the big 3×3 adult tournament with dunk contest and a 3-point contest, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The day will end with a vintage and sports evening with the V & B until the end of the night.

Sunday, for the survivors, a breakfast will be served at 8:30 am followed by a yoga session with Julie Martinez to wake up gently. Then start at 10 a.m. of the Axa tournament (companies and association) as well as a mixed tournament for 16 years and over, until 1:30 p.m.

To end this basketball marathon, a relaxing evening at 6 p.m. at the Grand Palais cinema with the screening of a film related to the orange ball.

Different stands will be present over the two days: osteopathy, barbershop, electrostimulation and catering on site.

The icing on the cake, the sponsor of the 24 Hours of Basketball will be the promising future Pro A player in Cholet: the former yellow and blue player Enzo Goudou-Sinha who will be present on both days.
