SANTIAGO.- The roof of Las Carreras served as the stage for the first national basketball tournament Para with the participation of Santo Domingo, Boca Chica and Santiago, organized by the Cibao Rehabilitation Board, with the full support of Mayor Abel Martínez and the Mayor’s Office of here.

Abel Martínez Durán, mayor of the municipality of Santiago, in addition to Mr. Juan Reyes president of the Cibao Board of Rehabilitation, Héctor De Padua sports director of the Mayor’s Office, Licda. Diana Paulino representative of the social inclusion unit of the Mayor’s Office, Agustin Cantorberry representing the athletes, Ambiorix González president of the council of councilors Sergio Beato, among other personalities.
The National Anthem was then sung.
The words of welcome were given by Professor Héctor De Padua, sports director of the Santiago mayor’s office.
Diana Paulino read the portrait of Edilecta Martínez who was awarded a recognition for her hard work for the benefit of the Board of Trustees.

4- Wheelchair Athlete Association.

In the second hour, the Caballeros de Santiago prevailed with a score of 37 points to 20 over the Boca Chica Beach Clubs.
In the third and decisive match, the Domssird team was proclaimed champion by beating the Caballeros de Santiago 50-33, taking the Mayor’s Cup of Santiago and the prize of 50 thousand pesos, the runners-up won the 2nd place cup and 25 thousand pesos. pesos, while the Aderesird group took third place and 15 thousand pesos.
