Yesterday, on a very pleasant night, the first day of the Summer Nights was held at the Hippodrome of La Zarzuela. Great attendance by the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of the horse races, the spectacle, the music and the gastronomy.
The day: sand and fiber track

Upsdawn, as usual, took the lead setting the pace of the test, thus reaching the final stretch in which, giving a small pull, he went towards the finish line, enduring Einar’s strong finish, achieving a nice victory.
Einar reached three quarters of a length, with Tiermes third, who crossed the finish line a length later.
Second, the disputed Bouquet Award (Sponsored by ‘Hola!’), handicap split second part for horses and mares three years and older. Seven candidates for victory. 1,900 meters of travel. Karluvy was always well placed, controlling the situation, waiting for his moment in the final straight, to go with authority towards the finish line, achieving victory. Baba Karam led from the start, arriving first to the final straight, in which he gave a jump going towards the finish line, but Belador jumped hard making things very difficult, seeing an exciting finish. Baba Karam resisted Balador’s attack by a neck, achieving victory. Third, already far away, almost thirteen lengths away, came Pelliquero.
In fourth place, the Suances Award (Lototurf), for three-year-old colts and fillies that have not won. Ten participants started from the 1,900 meter pole. Macadamia won from end to end and by almost nine lengths, showing himself to be far superior to his rivals, to whom he did not give an option at any time. Second came Alphabetic, which improved on previous ones. Third came Vinci Lisa, nearly two lengths behind.
He closed the day in fifth place on Dink Award, reserved for Apprentices and Professional Riders not winners of 12 races from September 1, 2021; for horses and mares four years and older, not winners of a Prize of €8,000. Nine contenders for victory. 1,200 meters of travel. Perfect Sunrise decided to open the drawers, followed by Alnasherat and the rest of the participants. Thus the final stretch was reached in which Perfect Sunrise became strong by the sticks, resisting Alnasherat’s attack with solvency, winning by three quarters of a length. Third, six and a half lengths behind, came Rogue.
