On the second day of the 71st Miyagi Prefectural Junior High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet, 16 competitions were held in various parts of the prefecture on the 23rd, and Shun Nakagawa (Midoridai) won the men’s individual all-around gymnastics for the first time. Ryune Kikuchi (Henan East) won the 44-kilometer class for women in judo. Tohoku Gakuin was the 13th time in a row for the men’s group of archery, and Takasaki was the 7th time in a row for the women’s group.
On the 24th of the 3rd day, 13 competitions such as basketball and volleyball men’s and women’s finals will be held.
As you can imagine, landing perfectly
Nakagawa (Midoridai) won the gymnastics men’s individual all-around for the first time in 2 years. During the match, I closed my eyes and repeated image practice while waiting for the performance. He smiled, “I tried not to fail. I’m glad it was well organized.”
In the first vault, he scored 12.70 points, which is the highest score for the boys of the day, and “feels better.” The third type of floor exercise, which he is good at, decides the rotation technique with a good feeling, and at the end, he makes a perfect landing from the continuous technique. He received a big applause from the hall and nodded, “I was firmly stopped.”
However, he does not forget to reflect, “There was a problem with the horizontal bar, which was in the 10-point range.” This year’s goal is to participate in the local junior high school tournament (August 15-17, Sekisui Heim Super Arena). This is because he must be in the 6th place at the Tohoku tournament (July 31, Hirosaki City), and he feels “suspicious of today’s content.”
From the age of three, he attends the “Shiogama Atom Gymnastics Club” in Shiogama City at the recommendation of his parents. “Practice can be tough, but I’m happy with the sense of accomplishment when I’m able to do it,” she said.
The goal is to have the supporting families see them acting at the national competition. “Today I was a little shrunk. I want to act with confidence in the Tohoku tournament.” The 14-year-old midsummer challenge continues. (Toshikatsu Nonaka)
Judo women’s 44 kg class, Kikuchi (Henan East) control
Judo women’s individual 44 kg class was won by Kikuchi (Henan East) in the third year. In the final, a positive offensive stance was shining. When he took away the waza-ari by throwing his specialty on his back, he brought it to Yoko Shiho gatame and decided the game with one combined technique.
Last year, he won the 40kg class. This year, when he raised his rank, he said, “I was nervous because of the increase in opponents,” but he won all four games from the first round to the final. He smiled and rejoiced with his father, Kazumi (42), a coach who has been teaching judo since the age of three, saying, “I’m glad I won.”
Last year’s national tournament, which challenged in the 40-kilometer class, was eliminated in the second round of the first round. This year, when he has grown a little, he strongly said, “I want to break through the first race.”
