“We try to support and help and organize a holiday so that Salomon can take care of his training and participate in tournaments. It’s good, because we get so many experiences together.’
Salomon goes to Præstemarkskolen in Søften and will start the 9th grade after the summer holidays. After that, he expects to go to high school, quite possibly a high school in Aarhus, as it will be practical in relation to the fact that he still has to go to Aarhus every day to train.
Standard bearer
Right now, however, it is about the European Youth Olympic Festival, where 43 Danish sports talents from the age of 14-18 participate in six of the 10 sports that are competed in.
Salomon from Hinnerup is even appointed as one of the two Danish standard-bearers for the opening ceremony, where the Olympic flame is lit just like at the “real” Olympic Games.
“I was very surprised by that. I didn’t even know there was a tab to wear, but it’s all going to be very exciting. It’s something different from what I’m used to,’ says Salomon.
