In an atmosphere of joy and solemnity, today the U16 Women’s Basketball National Championship was inaugurated on this border.
Ciudad Juarez, Chih.- There are 15 delegations of young basketball players from all over the country that participate in this sports fair from this day and until next Sunday 10.
The director of the Municipal Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Juárez, Juan Escalante, representing the Municipal President, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, was in charge of welcoming the delegations.
Participating in this National U 16 Championship, the representative teams of Chiapas, Mexico State, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Sinaloa, Zacatecas and Chihuahua.
“Thank you for coming to our beautiful state of Chihuahua, to our Ciudad Juárez, count on us to support you in everything,” said the municipal official.
The games will be held at the Josué Neri Santos Municipal Gymnasium and the University Gymnasium of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez; admission is free.
At the inauguration were, in addition to Escalante; the president of Ademeba Chihuahua, Jorge Medina; the delegate Ademeba Juárez, Alejandro Flores; the national team, Valeria Navarrete; from the Directorate of Tourism, Karla Romero; on behalf of the president of the Rubí Enríquez Municipal DIF, Carlos Grado, as well as the coordinator of the Sports Building Commission, councilor Karla Escalante.
