The game was worth the candle for this project at 5.2 million euros (1) whose reflection was launched ten years ago. “It will be a new golf course. We did not add 9 holes to 9 holes. It was necessary to modify the whole green to find a homogeneity because the first six holes were 28 years old and would not have reacted like the new ones ”, explains the vice-president of the Community of agglomeration Rochefort Océan (Caro) in charge of tourism, Sebastien Bourbigot.

Her friend Jackie continues: “The southern part will be easier, but it is magnificent, trees with a view of the marsh and the estuary. »

Hotel operator found

It remains to demolish the technical premises which will be moved to a building plot in the northern part. The hotel project is progressing. The building permit has been granted and “the Agglo has found an operator who wishes to invest in golf. He will buy the 6,300 m² plot. On a floor area of ​​3,200 m², he will build a hotel with around fifty rooms and an apartment hotel on R+1 with a 60 m² swimming pool,” describes Sébastien Bourbigot, who hopes to make Rochefort Océan a popular golfing destination.
