Around 1800 judoka from 15 countries transform the Sindelfingen glass palace into a large dojo. The participants are enthusiastic, as are the makers of VfL Sindelfingen. This time the team cup goes to Switzerland.

1800 judo fighters from around 15 countries stood on the mat in the Glaspalast at the weekend. The international tournament (ITG) of VfL Sindelfingen is the largest tournament in Europe outside of the Grand Prix. After a two-year Corona break, the 20th edition could finally take place. “We are overwhelmed and very happy that the tournament could take place again,” says Stavros Giogiakas from the department management. His verdict: “Heart-rending, phenomenal. The tournament is the flagship of our judo department.”
