“Lot-et-Garonne is worth gold”, the film to promote Olympism

the essential
The 7 Lot-et-Garonne Games Preparation Centers have produced a film to promote the charms of the department and attract foreign sports delegations.

The film begins with a close-up à la Sergio Leone. A face appears, that of Pablo Lotegàron. The color of the flag next to his name suggests that Pablo Lotegàron is South American. The growing beard, the dark look, he wears his cap backwards. He is extremely focused. He is an archer. He is preparing to shoot an arrow to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games…
The screen suddenly goes black. In white, it is written: “A few months before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games”. During the following sequence, Pablo arrives in the South West of France. He is welcomed with open arms in a stone house, typical of our country. Spectators then follow its preparation and discover the seven Lot-et-Garonne sites labeled Terres de Jeux 2024, such as the Temple-sur-Lot base. It all ends with a little sign that makes all the difference.

Land of welcome of “Terre de Jeux 2024”

Presented Monday afternoon in the hemicycle of the departmental council, this film entitled “The Lot-et-Garonne is worth gold” was a hit. The emotion was there and the smiles also on reading the family name of our Pablo. Filmed at the beginning of May, it is produced by Isoe production. His goal ? Praise the quality and technicality of the equipment of the sports facilities in order to convince foreign delegations to train there before the Olympic Games
. Renowned for being a land of welcome and now a recognized tourist destination, the department also reveals its charms. Sweetness of life, fresh air and wide open spaces, gastronomy, heritage…

On January 13, 2020, Lot-et-Garonne was awarded the “Terre de Jeux 2024” label. It was presented to the president of the departmental council, Sophie Borderie, by the president of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games organizing committee, Tony Estanguet.

The film is already circulating
As part of this label, seven sites in the 47 have been designated Games Preparation Centers (CPJ): the Temple-sur-Lot Base, the Myre-Mory sports complex in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, the sports center Jacques-Clouché and the regional archery center in Boé, the Municipal Stadium, the Armandie Stadium and the Aquasud swimming pool in Agen.

The structures and communities representing these 7 CPJs worked collectively on the development of this video (there is also a brochure). These communication documents were sent to Olympic committees and foreign sports delegations. They would already be circulating in Japan and the USA.
