North. Two years later, the 3 Monts brewery celebrates its 100th anniversary with a Flemish fair

“Save the date”, recommends the Brewery 3 Montswhich is about to celebrate its 100 years of existence with a great party. On the program: behind-the-scenes discovery of the brewery for the curious, and flemish fair. The appointment is given on Friday 26 and Sunday 27 August 2022at Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel (North), where the historic brewery stands.

100 ans (+2)

If you have a feeling of “déjà vu”, know that it is not your brain that is idling. The 100 years, 3 Monts passed them two years ago. In 2020, we visited the historic and family brewery, at the dawn of the initial anniversary event. Postponed due to the health crisis, it will finally be held at the end of August 2022. Rest assured, the program remains intact!

“For a weekend, the road to the chapel turns into a real Flemish fair. Two days of festivities placed under the sign of Flemish and brewing culture! In addition to the free tours of the brewery, other activities will take place during these two days, culminating in the large open-access fair on Saturday August 27,” sums up the brewery in its presentation of the event.

Note that the brewery is taking advantage of this great celebration to continue its commitment to the movement it initiated “#sauvonslehoublonlocal”. 10% of the sales of the shop and the bar made during the two days will be donated to the Coophounord – Coopérative Houblonnière du Nord.

Free visits and fair day

Free tours of the brewery will be provided on Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. They are done on registration only, the public will be invited to discover the secrets of the iconic 3 Monts… Registration via this link.

The Saturday, make way for the Flemish fair day! Free admission, it will take over the public garden on the route de La Chapelle, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. You can enjoy: a Flemish market bringing together local producers and actors and entertainment (axe throwing, archery, horse-drawn carriage rides to discover the hop fields, exhibition of old tractors, pigeon sport, educational farm, etc.) .

To 11h the official inauguration of the festival is planned, by Pierre Marchica, Managing Director of the brewery, with the release of pigeons. From 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. a conference will be given on the cultivation of hops, led by the Coophounord. From 14h the stroll of the Giants of Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel is announced, to the sound of the De Laatste Drop brass band. At 17 o’clockend of the fanfare on the central stage, at 5:15 p.m.DJ Set by Olivier Motte, then from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.concert of the Zazous, from 10 p.m. to midnightDJ Set by Olivier Motte with percussionist and fiery juggling, and to end the day in style, at 11:30 p.m.a firework !
