Antofagasta badminton is becoming strong at home, as local athletes led the first phase of the National Championship that takes place in the commune, taking the podium in the Sub 11, 13 and 15 categories in singles and doubles, ladies, men and mixed, achieving nine gold, six silver and ten bronze medals, quite an achievement considering that in the next few days the grand finale of this event will take place.
Likewise, a close final of this championship is expected, which will ensure the quotas for those who will represent the country in the South American badminton tournament to be played in Peru during the month of December, where the Antofagasta Region already obtained several quotas among those selected.
