Two severed pig heads and a note with threats were found this morning in front of the home of the president of theUS Leccethe lawyer Saverio Sticchi Damiani and near his law firm, in Lecce. The police and police officers investigate the incident. The severed head, still bleeding and contained in an envelope, was discovered by the custodian of the palace.
After the intimidating mafia-style act with two severed pig heads found yesterday morning in front of the doors of the law firm and the home of the president of US Lecce, Saverio Sticchi Damiani, the prefect of Lecce, Maria Rosa Trio, ordered a generic radio-linked surveillance service to protect the professional. The measure, decided in agreement with the police forces, was arranged to ensure the protection of the safety of the Salento professional, known not only for his role at the head of the Giallorossi management, but also for being an administrative lawyer and associate professor of Administrative Law at the University of Salento. Yesterday Sticchi Damiani, before leaving for Trentino and joining the retreating team, was heard for a long time by the investigators to whom he reported that he was unable to explain the motive for the gesture. From the vision of the images acquired by one of the cameras in operation near the house, the figure of a man walking at night on the sidewalk of the building where Sticchi Damiani lives with his wife would have been identified. A dark image that at the moment would not guarantee the identification of the subject. Investigators from Digos and Squadra Mobile are inclined to exclude the football track as well as that of organized crime at the origin of the gesture.
