Proinbeni Units pel Bàsquet Gandia already knows their rivals from the regular phase in the 2022-2023 EBA League. The Safor team is framed in group B of conference E made up of 13 teams.
The rivals of the Gandian team will be SCD Carolinas Alicante, CB Jorge Juan A Tártaros de Novelda, UCAM Murcia CB, Servigroup Benidorm, AD Infante de Murcia, Organic Ager CB Begastri de Cehegín (Murcia), Eset Ontinet de Ontinyent, CB Ilicitano-Caja Rural Central of Elche, Sercomosa Molina Basket of Molina de Segura (Murcia), La Salud Archena (Murcia), CB Ifach Calp and Lucentum Alicante.
Proinbeni Units pel Bàsquet Gandia will start the competition at the Lucentum stadium in Alicante on the first weekend of October (day 2), while the first home match will be against Eset Ontinet on October 9.
On the other hand, in this E conference of the EBA is also group A, which includes 14 clubs: CB Aldaia, NB Torrent, Eurofins-Megalab Alginet, Valencia BC, Tau Castellón B, EB Vila-Real, NB Paterna Power Electronics , CB Puerto de Sagunto, CB Tabernes Blanques, Picken Claret de València, refitel Bàsquet Llíria, CB Manises-Quart A and Jovens l’Eliana.
The championship will be played in a double round of all against all in both groups and the first and second classified of each group (4) will qualify for the Conference Final, playing the Final with the following pairings: 1st Group A vs. 1st Group B that will determine the champion and runner-up of the EBA Conference E League, and the 2nd Group A vs. 2nd Group B that will determine the third and fourth classified. The number of teams that will participate in the EBA League Promotion Final Phase will be determined by the FEB regulations, although, if the rules do not change, it is normal for three to qualify: champion, runner-up and third in the Conference Final.
On the other hand, the board of directors of Units Pel Bàsquet Gandía and Jovi Merencio extend their relationship for another year. Jovi Merencio Moreno (Torrent, 03/28/2000 – 1.94 meters) is capable of playing both shooting guard and forward and will once again wear the Proinbeni UPB Gandia shirt for the 2022-2023 season under the orders of Alejandro Mesa and Manu Blacksmith.
This will be his fifth season in the EBA League and the third in Gandia for the 22-year-old Valencian player.
