The winner of the Polish Cup and the silver medalist of the Polish Championship “Rakow” defeated the champion “Lech” Poznań 2:0 (1:0) in Poznań.
Gutkovskis went to the field in the starting lineup and was replaced in the 78th minute, when the score was 2:0. In the 12th minute, he was at the forefront of the visitors’ attack, but the back was fixed.
In the 43rd minute, Bogdan Rakovican put the Czestochowa club in the lead, sending the ball into the left corner of the penalty area after a cross – 1:0.
In the 51st minute, Mateusz Vdovjaks passed his opponent and irresistibly sent the ball to the champion’s goalkeeper Filip Bednarek in the right corner of the goal – 2:0.
It was the second Super Cup final and second victory for “Rakow” team, while “Lech” is the most successful Polish team in the Super Cup. Out of ten times, the Poznańs have won six times, which is a record.
Gutkowski also has two sets of silver medals from the Polish Championship, the Polish Cup won in 2021 and 2022, as well as the Polish Super Cup won a year ago.
Last year, Czestochowa “Rakow” won the cup by defeating the champion Warsaw “Legia” in the penalty kicks – 1:1 (1:0, 0:1, 0:0, 11 m – 4:3).
