Scott Piercy drives the point home, Paul Barjon 20th

The experienced American Scott Piercy retains first place in the 3M Open after 36 holes, three strokes ahead of Argentinian Emiliano Grillo. Author of a superb card of 67, Paul Barjon brilliantly passed his ninth cut in his last twelve starts.

Co-leader after the first round of the 3M Open, Scott Piercy continues to dominate the 3M Open by largely taking control after thirty-six holes, with a clear card of 64 to post a score of -13. The 43-year-old American notably panicked the counters from 6 to 13 with six birdies in seven holes. The Las Vegas golfer is three strokes ahead of the Argentinian Emiliano Grillo and five on English Callum Tarren, author of the performance of the week so far (63). The three men will play their third round together on Saturday early evening in France, to avoid the thunderstorms expected in the United States.

In the lead alongside Piercy after eighteen holes, the South Korean Sunjae Im is at the foot of the podium ex aequo with in particular Tony Finau.

Paul Barjon does what it takes to try to keep his card on the PGA Tour with a brilliant 67. The New Caledonian by adoption goes back to the top 20 and signs his ninth cut in his last twelve starts. Still waiting for a top 40 in this current series of cuts, we are now expecting a good weekend from the only Frenchman regularly aligned on the PGA Tour, who is fighting to retain all of his playing rights next season. Note that the American Davis Cup captain, Mardy Fishinvited by a sponsor to play his first tournament on the PGA Tour in his native state of Minnesota, finished far from the cut (+13).
