On last weekend’s appointments, Daniela and Isabel Corchon moved to the Zaragoza town of Alfajarín in competitions of lower categories while Santiago Martinez He traveled to Vitoria to play the “Tournament of the Virgen Blanca” in the senior category.
Both competitions could not have been more fruitful, with all the players winning. Daniela Corchón, being a U17 player, registered in the sub19 category to compete with higher level players, showing that she is at an excellent level, winning the category with great ease. In addition, without being able to count on her usual partner, she won the silver medal in the U17 women’s doubles modality with the local Nuria Cerezo, losing the final 14-21, 21-17 and 16-21 despite not having played any party together.

On the other hand, the Aranalde Sports Center in the capital of Vitoria was the venue for the seventh edition of the Virgen Blanca Tournament with the presence, in the senior category, of Santiago Martinez. Just as the youngest women did in Alfajarín, Santiago obtained the victory in the men’s singles, winning all their matches by two sets to nil. In addition to the individual modality and together with Guillermo Menéndez from Gijón, he won the bronze in the men’s double, losing in the semifinals by a tight 21-19 and 21-18.
