Hamburg’s best tennis player Tamara Korpatsch tested positive for the corona virus after her departure in Wimbledon and has to sit out sick for the time being.
“I have a high fever, sore throat and the worst headache I’ve ever had,” wrote the 27-year-old from Kaltenkirchen on Instagram on Saturday. You will spend the next few days in quarantine. Korpatsch withdrew her participation in the WTA tournament in Contrexeville, France, which begins on Monday.

Korpatsch was eliminated in Wimbledon in the first round by Brit Heather Watson. At the Grand Slam tournament, the former finalists Matteo Berrettini from Italy and Marin Cilic from Croatia were tested positive for corona, both of which could not play their first round games. For this reason, the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut had to withdraw before his second round match.
