The developers of Pokémon Go have been trying for weeks, even months, to bring the trainers back out the door after the long pandemic break – regardless of whether Corona is still an issue or not (and it still is, just by the way). The people at Niantic have officially communicated this and some changes have crept into the game that annoy the players. The smoke debate is still there.
And the most rapid Drop in the quality of the weekly box are the remote raid passes not uninvolved; simply simply due to the fact that they no longer exist via the 1-Pokécoin box. It was foreseeable that long-distance raid passes would lose their appeal when long-distance raids were introduced with damage bonuses, for example. However, the Pokémon Go trainers did not anticipate the steps taken by Niantics.
Make long-distance raids unattractive – Step 1
The first step that the developers took, as mentioned earlier, concerned the weekly box. Instead of containing a long-distance raid pass worth 100 Pokécoins for one Pokécoin, the box now contains randomly thrown items that are becoming increasingly unattractive. In the beginning there were three Super Incubators. This week, starting July 25, 2022, there’s a smoke. Wow.
Make long-distance raids unattractive – Step 2
In the same breath, the Niantics have im Shop Pokemon Go the bundle priced, which includes three remote raid passes. A Remote Raid Pass costs 100 PokéCoins in the shop. A bundle once cost 250 PokéCoins, so it offered a sensible saving. But then the developers decided without comment to cancel the discount: The bundle now costs 300 Poké coins and was therefore significantly reduced in its attractiveness compared to the individual purchase.
Make long-distance raids unattractive – Step 3
First of all, it should be said that it was announced that on-site raids should be made more attractive again. Did the creators of the game mean the following point? The Niantics decided to upgrade the event Community Day after changing the duration of the event from six to three hours. Since Kapuno Community Day, there are exclusive Tier 4 Raid Battles that are activated after Community Day from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. As part of the upcoming August 2022 Galar-Geradaks awaits you at Community Days in the raids. However, there is a catch and it sounds like this:
“You can only join these Raid Battles with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. You cannot join with Remote Raid Passes.”
The creeping decline (and such)
We’ve discussed this many times over the past few weeks and one or the other trainer may have been fed up with the topic for a long time. But that doesn’t change the fact that Niantic’s developers often bring something new into the game with great fanfare and great features … and then slowly weaken it. It’s the same with the weekly box, with the remote raid passes, even with the research breakthroughs.
And it stands to be assumed that the same with the daily adventure smoke will be like this. Currently, this daily smoke ensures that rare and even legendary Galar forms of the birds Lavados, Zapdos and Arktos appear when used. The question is how long will the developers at Niantic plan to be so generous… and how soon will the daily Adventure Smoke get the Research Breakthrough treatment.
