Wiggins remembers the draft: I was called the next LeBron, but no one will be

Canadian basketball player Andrew Wiggins remembered his feelings after the draft, when he was selected with the first number by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014, writes “lakersdaily.com”.

“There was a certain amount of pressure, especially from Canada, I knew all of Toronto was watching [ceremonijas tiešraidi], the whole country is watching. Everyone wants you to become a good player. I was called the next LeBron James and so on. But no one is going to be the next LeBron, that’s for sure,” said Wiggins.

In his first season, he was recognized as the best rookie, while in the past season he became the NBA champion. Also, Wiggins was recognized as the best player of the month four times.

In the championship season, the Canadian averaged 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 73 regular season games, while in 22 play-off games he averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 steals and 1. 8 assists.
