Latvian swimmer Ronens Kermans took 21st place in the 200-meter medley at the European Swimming Championships in Rome on Tuesday.

In his swim, the Latvian athlete finished in eighth place in the competition of nine athletes, showing a time of two minutes and 6.63 seconds.
Overall, Kerman took 21st place among 27 swimmers.
Kerman lost 7.69 seconds to the owner of the best time, Gabriel Jose Lopez from Portugal.
16 swimmers made it to the semi-finals.
It has already been announced that previously Kermans ranked 71st in the 100-meter freestyle distance, but took 50th place in the 100-meter butterfly.
At the European water sports championship, Latvia is represented by four athletes – swimmers Maļuka, Daniils Bobrovs, Ronen Kermans, as well as figure jumper Jeja Patrikas.
The continental championship in water sports will take place in Rome, the capital of Italy, until August 21.
