Anderlecht – Young Boys: Felice Mazzù did not take penalties in training

Anderlecht are ready for their most important game of the start of the season. This is what Felice Mazzù said at his last press conference before the match against Young Boys Bern. “Apart from Adrien Trebel and Julien Duranville, who is suffering from fatigue after his U23 match, everyone is available. Including Refaelov and Ashimeru, who have trained.”

Interesting detail: Anderlecht did not work on penalties in training. Mazzù: “One, it would imply that we do not know how to win the match during regulation time. And two: hitting a peno in training and in a match in front of 25,000 spectators, it’s completely different in terms of emotions. I know that every Anderlecht player is capable of converting a penalty.”

Reminder: Anderlecht lost the Cup final against Ghent after penalties. Cullen and Ashimeru had missed. However, under Kompany, the players had done penalty shootouts in recent training.
