This weekend, Alem dresses up to host the national Archery finals in the Sala modality with a great missionary presence. And it is that the shooters of the Missionary Archery Association (AMiTA) and the CAPRI club will represent the red land in the decisive instance, which will be held at the Germano-Argentino Cultural Center.
Prior to the finals, Marcelo Szydloski, secretary of AMiTA and one of the participants who will represent the club and the province, spoke with Misiones Online where he anticipated how the event would unfold, which began yesterday with the Official presentation.
“Yesterday we had the official launch by the sports department and the municipality of Leandro N. Alem, so everyone is formally invited for the weekend,” he said.
Szydloskyi also highlighted the number of participants, a figure that reaches approximately 150 archers from all over the country, of which 9 will be missionary representatives from AMiTA and CAPRI.
“It is a year of first times, because it is the first time that an event like this is held in the province, as well as clearly in the locality. In addition, although we have been working as a Missionary Archery Association for four years, in the eyes of the Argentine Federation we are one more club that competes, ”he explained.
“This year we participated together with the CAPRI boys, so we are very happy and we hope to be more in the coming years,” he said.
Between the two clubs there will be nine missionary representatives in the finals, six belonging to AMiTA and three from CAPRI.
For the AMiTA will be: Ruben Cieplinksi, a native of Campo Grande and Pedro Penayo, of Oberá, will participate in the Senior Male Race category. In addition, Cristian Rojas (Foz de Iguazu), Daniel Scheske and Marcelo Szydlosky (both of Leandro N. Alem), will dispute the Senior Male Recurve WA category.
CAPRI will be represented by: Juan Pablo Pamberger, first in the national ranking in the U21 Recurve category, achieving a historic event for the province, Lorena Florentin, fourth in the national ranking in the Senior Women’s Longbow category and Carlos Contristano, ranked 11th in the low category. 50+.
“For the first time in a final stage like this, Misiones will be well represented,” said Szydloski.

Finally, Szydloski spoke about what it means to be able to compete on his land, Leandro N. Alem.
“There is always a special seasoning when you can throw in your province and much more in your locality. We are with all the expectations and finalizing the preparations, ”she closed.
Based at the Germano-Argentino Cultural Center, the activity will begin on Friday at 7:00 p.m. with the first free practice sessions, while on Saturday the classifications will take place.
On Sunday the qualifiers will take place, which will determine the instance in which the shooters will start.
