Arco Club Valladolid wins seven medals in the Spanish Archery Championship

The Spanish Archery Championship has had a Valladolid presence. Arco Club Valladolid has exhibited the talent of its athletes last weekend from July 28 to 31, which was held in Madrid. The competition featured more than 700 archers from all categories, from different modalities and from different autonomous communities. In addition, the people from Valladolid managed to win seven medals.

Arco Club Valladolid sent a selection of 8 archers and 2 female archers to represent Castilla y León. in category Under 18 years Nicolás Bustos and international goalkeeper Héctor González attended. Héctor would finally get three medals, two Silver medals, one with the Absolute men’s team and another in the National Cadet League (four days of the League that would culminate with this day) and a bronze in the cadet category of the Spanish Championship.

in category Under 21 years Pablo Bustos and Martín Alonso attended, highlighting the performance of Martín who fought for the bronze medal, but had to settle for a great fourth place.

In the 50+ category, Carlos Bustos and María Gómez attended. María Gómez would take the oro of the championship, adding another medal for Arco Club.

in category Senior Recurve Bow, Isidro Martínez, fought for two bronzes, being in the finals with the mixed team and with the men’s team, making a great Championship to have been in this sport for less than a year, but with authentic expert results.

In Senior Compound Bow Joaquín Vázquez, Alejandro González, Ana Alonso, María Gómez and Héctor González, these last two who did double in the absolute categorywith very good results.

Alejandro González and María Gómez hung a medal of bronze in the mixed team.

And if that’s not enough, Alejandro González, together with his brother Héctor González, won a medal for plata in the men’s team of Compound Bow of our Community.

The archers of the Club pucelano Arco Club have achieved a total of seven medalsin addition to fighting for five bronze medals that finally became five fourth places by not getting the metal but they were very disputed finals until the end, such as that of the absolute women’s team that was finally resolved by a tiebreaker arrow with the Balearic team .
