BC Portland started the 2022-2023 season

PORTLAND – On Wednesday, August 31, BC Portland’s youth badminton season starts

This is done with the new head youth trainer Jessy Molier and the assistant coaching staff consisting of Kees van Leeuwen, Ger Kaspenberg, Rob Richelle and Marcel de Wijk. They stay with the club to train and guide the kids.

“Hopefully this season we will collaborate even more intensively with the youth with The Flying Shuttle from Barendrecht. This leads to more joint training sessions and the possibility to play with joint teams in the competition. This is to promote badminton better in this region and to strengthen each other”, says chairman Marcel de Wijk.

As for the adults: this department has merged with BVZP. They will continue as Badminton Club BC Barendrecht. “Better for the clubs, both administratively and for the image in the region,” says De Wijk.

Youth can sign up for trial lessons and a membership with Marcel de Wijk via [email protected] or call 06-29888899

The youth of BC Portland plays on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 pm in Sports Hall Portland. There are three training groups. Four youth teams participate in the Hoekschewaard competition (HWC)

The adults of BC Barendrecht play in the Waterpoort sports hall on Wednesday evenings and in the Riederpoort sports hall on Sunday mornings.
