BWF Worlds: Saina Nehwal wins, bids 2nd round goodbye, advances in PQF Badminton News

former world number 1 Saina Nehwal Reached the pre-quarterfinals of BWF World Championship in Tokyo on Tuesday.
Saina, a world silver and bronze medalist, is just two more wins away from earning her third world medal.
Saina defeated Cheung Ngan Yi of Hong Kong 21-19, 21-9 in the first round of the women’s singles. Saina got a bye in the second round as her rival Nozomi Okuhara was eliminated at the last minute. The former Japanese world champion got a bye in the first round and on that basis, Saina went straight into the third round.
Saina will face the winner of the second round match between Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan and Germany’s Yvonne Lee on Thursday.
