Last Sunday Jurgen Ekkelenkamp was allowed to sign his contract with Antwerp. Wednesday evening followed his debut in his first game.
Antwerp practiced on the field of Cappellen on Wednesday evening with a mix of players from the A-team and promises. For example, Antwerp’s Christopher Scott, Gaston Avila, Jelle Bataille, Faris Haroun, Davino Verhulst and finally the very latest acquisition Jurgen Ekkelenkamp were in the starting line-up.
Ekkelenkamp even opened the score for Antwerp and afterwards the plates were back in balance. This thanks to Robbe Kil who scored for Cappellen. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is an ex-youth player of Antwerp and played 10 matches in the main squad of Antwerp.
Nsimba made the 1-2 and afterwards it was up to the promises Murataj, Lausberg, Amal and Vilsaint to deepen the scoring further to 1-6.
