From August 14 to 21, the main draw of the WTA 125 tournament will take place in the Canadian town of Vancouver.

The Odlum Brown Vanopen will return to the circuit after its last edition was held in the 2019 season. A tournament where it has interspersed its presence on the WTA and ITF circuits. Her first champion in 2002 was one of the select players in history such as Maria Sharapova. Her last champion however was the British Heather Watson and three years later she will be in the main draw to try to retain the title. In 2018, she also knows what it’s like to compete in the finals but lost to a Misaki Doi who will also be present.
The American Madison Brengle will be the main seed as No.63 in the world in a table that has seven tennis players who are in the top 100 positions of the world ranking this week. The presence of the still junior Victoria Jiménez Kasintseva stands out, which will be her last stop before facing the preliminary phase of the US Open. As invited players, Eugenie Bouchard has entered, celebrating her return, Carol Zhao, Cadence Brace and Marina Stakusic. All of them Canadian tennis players.
