El Pulga gave Columbus the victory

The game, from the beginning of the game, was Tigre’s. It was difficult for Colón to get on his feet, he was not aggressive in the recovery and when he had it, he abused Wanchope Ábila with the long ball.

On the other hand, Diego Martínez’s team found a good driver in Facundo Colidio and made it very difficult every time he leaked the ball behind the back of the sabalera defense.

Of course, as has been happening to him, Victoria’s men lack depth and Mateo Retegui, the tournament’s top scorer, is out in the cold. For that reason, it was enough for Ignacio Chicco with some minor interventions so as not to suffer too much.

However, even though Colón was more a spectator than a protagonist, the Colombian Perlaza was the one who broke the monotony. With good attempts when he had the ball at his feet and two interesting interventions in the air, he caught up to cause Manuel Roffo to worry.

With the passing of the minutes, the visitor was punctured and, at the same time, the Santa Fe began to find how to cut off their paths and found spaces, mainly with a pivot game by Wanchope.

So it was that a ball arrived at the feet of El Pulga, who received inside the area and assisted Facundo Farías, who took a somewhat weak shot but destined for a goal. It did not materialize because Lucas Blondel, from the floor, managed to clear on the line.

While the people in the stadium began to get impatient, another direct ball came down that Ábila went down, Bernardi was left hand in hand with Roffo who won the individual duel but was unable to rebound with the eternal Pulga Rodríguez, who did not hesitate and put the 1-0.

At the start of the second half, Colón was somewhat better, as the first half had ended. However, Colidio suddenly reappeared, he entered the area from the left and after that good move, Equi Fernández took a powerful shot that was met by a great save by Chicco, who avoided the tie.

Marini’s team was better, they even increased the advantage through Ábila, but the VAR showed that they were in an advanced position. But, when the end was near, Mateo Retegui took advantage of a bad start from the bottom, pressed, recovered and took a tremendous left foot to score the tie.

It seemed res judicata, but Colón has a wild card… Which one? El Pulga Rodríguez, stainless idol, who in an agonizing way but with a great goal, gave Sabalero a much-needed victory.
