Gilberto García, president of Fedojudo stated that the athletes who will seek tickets to Chile and Paris 2024 will be measured
With the participation of 300 athletes from 25 countries, the Dominican Judo Federation will hold from September 8 to 11 the Cadet-Junior Pan American Cup world ranking and the Senior Pan American Open at the Parque del Este Handball Pavilion.
The Senior Pan American Open will award points for qualification to the Pan American Games Santiago de Chile 2023 and the Olympic Games to be held in 2024 in Paris, France.
Both events will be held with the support of the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the Pan American Judo Confederation (CPJ)) in coordination with the Dominican Judo Federation (Fedojudo).
The information was offered by the Fedojudo board, headed by its president, Gilberto García. “Our purpose is for our athletes to reach a level of competition consistent with what is happening today,” said Garcia.

In the Senior, the division of 167 athletes is expected, while in the junior, a total of 60, and in the cadet, 59 judokas.
The Dominican Republic will take part with 42 athletes in the Senior category, as well as 39 in cadet and 29 in junior. On the 8th, the cadet competitions will be held, then the juniors, and the last two days the senior matches will take place.
Fedojudo will recognize four personalities linked to judo. The technical reports were offered by Leidi Germán, technical director of Fedojudo, Wilkin Ogando, gave details about the athletes’ preparation program.
