Footballer Van Iperen out of danger after collision with goalkeeper

The 27-year-old former Telstar and Go Ahead Eagles player is in a hospital in the capital Chisinau. He is still unconscious, according to his club, but he is not in a coma. No hemorrhages were found in the skull.

“The latest news about Donny’s health is good. The player showed the first signs of recovery and that gives us even more confidence that everything will be fine,” the club wrote on its Facebook page. “Donny we are with you, be strong!”

Van Iperen made his professional debut with Telstar, after he played in the youth for AZ and Cambuur. He then played for Go Ahead Eagles and for AE Karaiskakis at the second level in Greece.
