In the last year of the Czech football league, Pilsen’s Jean-David Beauguel became the top scorer with 19 goals, seven of which he netted from the penalty spot. In combination with a 100% success rate from the penalty spot, Viktoria Plzeň can regret that they lost their player for the current season and Beauguel preferred the team in Saudi Arabia.
Last season, Václav Jurečka, the then player of Slovácko, scored two fewer goals, who even scored a hat trick against Baník in April. The third most successful scorer last season was Ladislav Almási, a player from the Ostrava club, with 16 goals.
