Roland Strobinder, on the other hand, threw the javelin 77.10 meters in his best attempt and finished in eighth position.

“I gave everything I had,” Gailums admitted after the competition, noting that he was happy with the place, but not with the result. As he himself pointed out, he came out to the stadium a little “rested”. The second attempt was not counted, but it restored the athlete’s faith that he can throw further than 80 meters.

The best is to finish eighth, but the result is not encouraging, Strobinder also admitted. Now you have to work so that the spear rises and goes forward. But in short, he is satisfied with the start in the European Championship.
