14 young people aged 10 to 14 took part, with the presence of Jenny from the Gueugnon club in agreement with her teacher, Hamid Hasbellaoui. The judokas who were accompanied by their coach Johnny Potet spent three days together, with Japanese accommodation at the dojo.
On the program in the mornings, get up at 6:45 a.m. for a session of more than an hour of generalized physical preparation, outside when the weather permits or otherwise with circuit training at the dojo. After a good breakfast, head to the tatami for a 2h30 judo session to remobilize the troops and get the season off to a good start.
Tuesday afternoon, there was a great introduction to rugby with fun workshops with Teddy Herniou, coach at the Club Olympique Creusot Bourgogne, where good humor was in order.
Wednesday afternoon was relaxing for the 14 trainees at the Le Creusot aquatic complex. They all had fun on the diving board, the slide and in the various indoor and outdoor pools where they created a very good atmosphere.
On Thursday, they welcomed the Decize judo club, who came with their teacher Mika Denizot to take advantage of joint training to get in shape for the coming year. During this day, Julien Maugard, departmental technical manager, honored them with his presence. This session ended with a large well-deserved snack shared with their guests, delighted to have made the trip. At the end of the afternoons, there were randori sessions (training fights) where the young people took pleasure in meeting and surpassing themselves. Tuesday evening ended with a viewing of the most beautiful ippons 2022 and Wednesday evening with a surprise bowling session that delighted the assembly, before meeting at the dojo for a good night’s sleep. The meals were prepared and delivered by Saveurs Réunionnaises, a Creusotin establishment, so everyone was able to fully enjoy themselves throughout this course.
The Creusotin trainer Johnny Potet is very proud of his judokas, whether in their exemplary attitude, their management of daily life, their commitment to training, and wishes to underline the beautiful cohesion of the group.
The steering committee and Johnny would like to thank the city of Le Creusot for the trust placed in their projects and for allowing their young people to live enriching experiences.
The steering committee as well as the young trainees would also like to thank their excellent coach Johnny for his perfect organization, his enthusiasm, his dedication without whom nothing could have happened. The 2022-2023 season is therefore off to a good start for the creusotin judo club. Registration will take place on August 30 and 31 and September 1, 6, 7, 8, 9 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Dojo, 8 rue Bayard in Le Creusot.
