Legacy Project promotes sports activities at the “Family Games, Family Festival” this Sunday

This Sunday, August 7, the second edition of the “Family Games, Festival in Family”, event in which citizens can enjoy different sports activities such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, skating and more, free of charge at the venues of the Legacy Special Project Videna, Villa el Salvador, Villa María del Triunfo, Costa Verde and Punta Rocas.

Family Games is a Quechua composition meaning: family=family and play=carnival/festival. The goal is that children, youth and adults can enjoy, free of charge, the best sports infrastructure left by the Pan American and Parapan American Games and who are currently in charge of Legacy, Every first Sunday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In this way, Legacy meets the objective of bringing these venues closer to families, as an open house for sports and recreation, promoting integration, healthy coexistence, respect and inclusion.

Legado Seen

In this venue, a 3k family jogging circuit will be held, as well as 3×3 volleyball, 3×3 basketball, 3×3 futsal, badminton, cycling, table tennis, capoeira dance, marinera and zumba classes. In addition, a space will be enabled so that children can skate, play with their scooters and jenga.

In this venue, there will be a demonstration of painting and crafts by people with disabilities

La Videna is located on Avenida Del Aire S/n in the district of San Luis, and the entrance will be through gate 1.

Green Coast Legacy

In this venue you can freely enjoy BMX in the form of “little feet”, handball, skate, bmx freestyle, speed skating, karate, beach tennis, among others.

In addition, you can find an entrepreneurs fair, in addition to the capoeira, kickboxing and archery exhibition.

This headquarters is located on the beach circuit in San Miguel and the entrance will be through gates 3, 5 and 9.

Villa Maria del Triunfo Legacy

In this venue, families will be able to access master classes by sports federations, rugby league, hockey and baseball. In addition, there will be a tennis school with tennis players from the Peruvian national team.

For the older ones, there will be drawing therapy and for the children Zumba activities, free foosball, painted faces and recreational activities.

This headquarters is located on Calle Luis Pardo s/n in Villa María del Triunfo and the entrance will be through gate 8.

Villa El Salvador Legacy

In this place, climbing, gymnastics, volleyball, badminton and taekwondo classes will be held. There will also be a Youth Basketball Cup tournament and you can enjoy full body fitness, board games such as chess, checkers, ludo, face painting for children, among other activities.

This headquarters is located on Avenida Pastor Sevilla s/n and the entrance will be through door 15.

Punta Rocas Legacy

In this venue, families will be able to be part of the skate and board open days and will also be able to access two sand courts.

This headquarters is located in the Puntas Rocas High Performance Center, at the height of the old Panamericana Sur km. 47.5 and the entrance will be through door 1.

The Special Legacy Project Pan American and Parapan American Games has made available to the public a series of sports workshops for this month of August at the headquarters of the Videna, Costa Verde, Villa el Salvador and Villa María del Triunfo.

Among the main courses that will be taught are swimming, basketball, softball, volleyball, badminton, rugby, and BMX Race.
