Michael Matthews, Dylan Gruenwegen, Nelson Bowles, Quinn Simmons and US National Champion Kyle Murphy are among the top riders scheduled for Labor Day weekend.

Each team is registered and licensed under a national name, but may include athletes representing different countries. The Maryland Cycling Classic is expected to host athletes from more than 20 countries, including current and former Tour de France and Olympic winners and national champions. The teams and riders will feature a unique mix of World Tour (top level), professional teams and continental teams from nine countries, highlighted by clubs from four continents (North and South America, Africa and Europe).
Over the past several years, Matthews has been one of the classic one-dayers on the world circuit, while Groenwegen has established himself as one of the fastest sprinters.
