ALKMAAR- Fredrik Midtsjø continues his career at Galatasaray SK. The 28-year-old Norwegian will immediately transfer to the club from Turkey. Midtsjø was still under contract in Alkmaar until mid-2023.
The eleven-time international came over from Rosenborg BK in 2017 and almost immediately conquered a base place at AZ. As an engine in midfield, Midtsjø was an important link in capturing balls and switching to attack.
Five years
The dribbler made 197 appearances in his five years with the Alkmaarders. He was accurate seven times and gave 31 assists.
Huiberts: ‘Stable factor’
“The transfer of Fredrik five years ago has turned out to be a success for all involved”, analyzes Director of Football Affairs Max Huiberts. “He has been a stable factor in recent seasons.
