BIKE. On August 27 and 28, Saint-Georges will host the Quebec Road Championships, organized by the Corporation du Grand Prix Cycliste de Beauce. This important provincial competition for the Elite, Junior, Masters and Paracyclist categories will feature more than 200 cyclists.
The best Quebec athletes will be able to demonstrate their talent on the time trial course on Saturday and the road race on Sunday in the Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande sector.
These championships, organized by the Tour de Beauce team, like the Quebec Gravel Championships in Saint-Romain on September 4, are Eco Silver certified under the Eco-responsibility Charter implemented last year by the Quebec Federation of Cycling Sports.
“As event organizers, we want the activities organized to leave an indelible memory in the memory of the participants and we also want to leave as few traces as possible in the environment”, underlines the general manager of the Corporation du Grand Beauce cycling prize, Francis Rancourt. He adds that the presentation of these competitions generates significant economic and tourism benefits for the region.
