The Sports Delegation has announced the opening of the term for municipal sports schools that will end on December 30. Until then, it can be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the pavilion, headquarters of the Delegation itself.
The prices are, for initiation schools, 15 euros per year, and for federated schools, 10 euros per month; that is, the same prices as last year.
Last year, a football club was created for the first time to manage this sport in the town, an initiative parallel to Arcos CF to work on federated football and official competitions. Sports delegate, Diego Zambrano, believes that the club is doing a great job that is recognized by athletes and families. As a novelty, for the new season all competitive categories will be managed, although the City Council will continue to be responsible for non-competitive initiation football. Zambrano recalls that from Social Services a cable will be thrown to those families who cannot afford to enroll in sports schools.
For the rest, basketball, motor skills, tennis, paddle tennis, climbing, archery… are some of the modalities proposed for the new course of sports schools. Chess, kayak polo and skate schools will also start, particularly for young people. Interested persons may contact the Sports Delegation.
