Record objective: the Spurs will welcome the Warriors in their hall of… 65,000 seats

To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Spurs will play this season in Austin and Mexico, but also bring out historic jerseys, and we have confirmation that they will also return to the Alamodome!

Inaugurated in 1993, this 65,000-seat hall hosted the Spurs until 2002, and the oldest remember the exploits of the Robinson-Duncan duo, but also the first dribbles of Tony Parker.

The attendance record for a regular season game belongs to the Hawks with 62,064 spectators for the Bulls’ arrival at the Georgia Dome. It was 1998, and like the Spurs, the Hawks had chosen to host the NBA champions to set a record.

The Texas franchise also revealed the dates of the matches played in Mexico City and Austin:

– In Mexico City (Arena CDMX), on Saturday December 17, 2022 against the Heat;
– In Austin (Moody Center), April 6 and 8, 2023 against the Blazers and Wolves.
