Several summer schools promote work-life balance in Adra

The smallest of Adra have been able to enjoy, one more year, the wide range of summer sports schools that are offered in the municipality. Tennis, swimming, badminton or basketballare some of the modalities that are practiced throughout the summer season by boys and girls, who take advantage of their vacations to have fun, socialize and practice sports in these schools that receive, weekly, more than a hundred young people .

The Adra summer campuses are coming to an end and have received a visit from the mayor of Adra, Manuel Cortesand the Councilors for Sports and Finance, Pedro Peña and Alicia Heras, to inquire about how the different activities are being carried out in recent days.



The mayor highlights the “importance” of these summer schools, which allow parents “to be able to reconcile work life with family”, and with the peace of mind that “the boys and girls are in a relaxed environment, with monitors who watch over their safety and fun, with other boys and girls sharing moments to remember”.

As Cortés underlines, “the most important thing is that young people take advantage of their vacations to continue practicing sports”, which is so important for the Government team because “the promotion of sport is one of the premises of our management”.

The visit took place in Basketball Campus and the Municipal Swimming Pool. It should be noted that, in the latter, which started on June 27 and will run until September 2, boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 12 are carrying out very diverse activities, such as Zumba kids, treasure hunts, traditional games, weekly theme party, manipulative activities (counting, motor skills, association games, plasticine), workshops (recycling, science, nature, painting) or aquatic games and skills.
