The company of archers of the Flèche de la Sumène was born in 1972 on the initiative of Robert Maigret who was the first president within the sports union of Saignes, with Jean-Pierre Dimoyat, vice-president, André Faurie, secretary and André Courche, treasurer. Then on November 9, 1983, La Flèche left the US and became autonomous, had a shooting pediment at 50 meters on the Saignes stadium, then a storage building and a shooting range up to 90 meters with subsidies from Youth and Sports. and the General Council.

To celebrate these 50 years, a 3D shooting took place in Saignes in the parks and gardens made available free of charge by the inhabitants. On Sunday morning a second round was made at the Puy de Prodelles in Champagnac, 80 archers over the two days. The godmother of these two shots was Odile Boussière, double world champion in individual field shooting and silver in the team in 2000 at Gurgl in Austria and in 2006 at Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy, who was present on these two days free of charge.
Saturday evening, a reception offered by the municipality of Saignes, took place at the reception of the campsite and the results of the day were announced by the president of the club, Frédéric Chappe. Jean-Pierre Dimoyat retraced the life of the club during these 50 years.
