The devaluation of several Colombian soccer players that in the last decade they have been protagonists in the European Leagues does not seem to be something by chance.
Although for many the drop in its price in the market is related to its age, analysts consulted by EL COLOMBIANO consider that there are also many other reasons that have influenced this phenomenon.
For coach Óscar Pérez, who has integrated several technical bodies in international football alongside Hernán Darío Gómez, some of them were affected by the fact of not playing in important teams and in leagues cataloged by some as emerging.
“Not playing the Champions League and other renowned tournaments, added to some injuries, also make the players lose value,” Pérez explained.
Another of the reasons that influenced the decline that coffee footballers have in the transfer market, Pérez stressed, is the discreet campaign that the National Team had Colombia in the South American qualifiers, which ultimately left it out of the World Cup in Qatar, a fact that contributes to our losing prominence in the main spheres of football.
Given this analysis, it is very likely that at the end of this year, when this contest will take place, scheduled to take place between November 20 and December 18, the price of many of them will drop even more.
Although he stressed that it is not the only factor, he also recognized that the age issue can influence: “Most of these players have played at a high level in the last ten years, but with age, the commercial value becomes different when they are over 30 years old, especially since very young players are appearing right now ”.
