Drag racing in Most is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year
The organizers have prepared a rich program, which will include, among other things, sports cars that will be brought to Most by the British Top Gear

On the first weekend of September, another year of tractor racing takes place at the Mostec autodrome. This year’s will be special because it will be the thirtieth anniversary. The organizers have prepared a rich program, which will also include NASCAR car races and circuit touring cars of the TCR category. The specialty is the presence of the editors of the famous British magazine Top Gear.
The well-known magazine chose the Mostec circuit as a test track for the preparation of its traditional big test of sports cars. In the week before the drag racing, our colleagues will take photos and test this year’s best sports cars on the circuit. The editors will then stay in Most with the imported cars during the race weekend, during which these cars will be driven around the circuit and on Saturday Top Gear will announce the best three sports cars. In addition to the test riders, the Stig will of course also arrive in Most.

The tractor races in Most will take place on September 3 and 4, but the whole program starts already on Thursday, September 1, when a convoy of about two dozen racing machines will take to the streets of Most, and the British Top Gear will join this fun ride with their sports cars. The route will lead from the Autodrom to a meeting with the fans, which will take place at the “Za poštų” parking lot (Parkoviště pošta, FL Gassmann). There will be an autograph session for drivers, demonstrations of cars and technology, and competitions for valuable prizes.
Tractors have been racing in Most since 1992. The inaugural year was run as a free race outside the official championship, but it still attracted thousands of spectators. By the way, the whole event back then was conceived as drag racing combined with a country festival. Mostec races have been part of the championship series since 1993.
